Louisville Metro Police partner with community for annual Shop with a Cop program

Louisville, KY – The Louisville Metro Police Department’s 8th Division recently partnered with local organizations and volunteers for its annual Shop with a Cop program, bringing holiday joy to area children in need. Led by Major Tatum, the division collaborated with the 8th Division Citizens Advisory Board, Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS, and SERVPRO to make the event a success.

The team gathered at Meijer, where officers, professional staff, and community partners worked together to shop for gifts. Children from the community, who might not otherwise experience a Merry Christmas, were the recipients of the thoughtful gifts. Volunteers carefully selected and wrapped presents to ensure each package brought a smile to a child’s face.

The event reflected the division’s commitment to giving back to the community and spreading holiday cheer. Participants shared heartfelt wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, emphasizing their dedication to making a difference in the lives of local families.
