Governor Beshear directs flags to half-staff for Pearl Harbor remembrance

Governor Andy Beshear has ordered that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in observance of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

The day honors the more than 2,400 Americans who lost their lives during the surprise attack on the U.S. Naval fleet’s Pearl Harbor base on December 7, 1941.

Gov. Beshear encourages individuals, businesses, organizations, and government agencies across Kentucky to join in this tribute.

More information on flag status can be found at governor.ky.gov/flag-status/.
