Authorities release the identity of a shooting victim

LOUISVILLE, KY- The identity of a man shot to death on Wednesday near downtown Louisville was released by the Jefferson County coroner’s office.

The police were called to the 900 block of S. Sixth Street between Breckinridge and Kentucky Streets around 3 a.m. where they found the victim shot multiple times.

27-year-old Korey Gilbert was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 04:06 a.m.

Reportedly, the LMPD is investigating further into this matter.
