The Clifton Christian Church held a gift giveaway for foster, adoptive and kinship care families

Louisville, KY – This amazing event occurred yesterday and it’s something more important for this holiday season than ever before. The Jefferson County Parent Association for foster, adoptive, and kinship care and the Kentucky Foster and Adoptive Parent Network had big bags of gifts for families.

In Chickasaw, hundreds of children turned out for the annual New Day Ministries Bike Extravaganza. In Russell, people lined up one hour early to receive gifts from entertainer C-Tez and the group Gorejus Angels. The demand was so high, they ran out two hours earlier than planned.

At Broadway and Brook Street, the restaurant Simple Greek teamed up with the Amazing Children Learning center to give out food and clothing.

One of the people at the event, William Dalton, said:

“I got this nice sweater, some socks, a toboggan, and some hot soup. Which actually helps me out quite a bit cause you know, I’m on disability and cannot really afford a lot of things and I don’t really have any family. This actually helps me with my isolation during the pandemic, too. So it’s really nice to have people that can help.”
