Miracle, the Christmas pop-up bar launched in New York City, is returning to Louisville — this time with tableside service, new drinks, and food options.
The popular concept kicks off the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 27, at the Green Building, 732 E. Market St. and concludes on New Year’s Eve. Louisville’s Miracle location is operated by the team behind Galaxie Bar in NuLu, according to a Miracle news release.
The staff is taking several Covid-19 related precautions.
As you enter Miracle, you’ll go down a twinkling hallway where a host will check for your mask and temperature before guiding you inside the living room-like seating areas or outside on the new heated and covered patio. This new format means guests can avoid the long lines of previous years.
“Our team is excited to bring back Louisville’s Miracle location for 2020 and we’ve made adjustments to make our guests feel safe and comfortable while they celebrate the holiday season,” Thor Morgan, Miracle Louisville partner, said in the release. “With our new hours and menus, we want people of all ages, couples, and families to come and experience the joy of Miracle.”
The Miracle\bar elves will be slinging drinks from this year’s cocktail menu, which includes including On Dasher (bourbon, mezcal, sweet vermouth, spiced hibiscus, lemon, Burlesque bitters) and Fruitcake Flip (brandy, Jamaican overproof rum, amaretto, fruitcake, cherry bitters, whole egg).
Families can join in the fun with children’s drinks like hot chocolate with marshmallows and vanilla coke, the release stated, while enjoying. Christmas movies like “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Home Alone” being screened nightly.
The food menu includes seasonal fare like warm brie with rosemary and thyme; roast turkey sliders with cranberry sauce; and single serving pies (sweet potato, pecan, cheesecake).
