Louisville, KY – For the first four weeks, the drive-thru vaccination site will only be used to vaccinate the first group of people eligible to be vaccinated. The first group of people are the health care workers and medical first responders.
Next up is people 70 and older, educators, police and firefighters. After that, adults over 18 with medical issues.
Dr. Sarah Beth Hartlage, Metro Louisville Health Department, said:
“I don’t expect the vaccine to be available to the general public until at least late summer, possibly deep into the fall.”
The first five health care workers in the state to receive the Pfizer vaccine two weeks ago, received their booster shots on Monday.
