1,211 new COVID-19 cases have been reported, bringing the state total to 414,131 cases

Louisville, KY – According to the officials, the state is seeing a 3.95 percent positivity rate.

There were 37 reported COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the state total to 4,921.

523 people are hospitalized for COVID-19 related reasons, 136 are in the ICU, and 75 are on ventilators. At least 48,500 Kentuckians have recovered from the virus.

Vaccination eligibility for phase 1C will be expanded. It will now include all persons age 16 or older with any medical or behavioral health condition (except smoking) the CDC reports “are” or “might be” at increased risk of severe COVID-19 illness.

Vaccination sites should still prioritize people ages 60 and older.
